Hemp Milk as an Alternative to Cow’s Milk

You would find many people who avoid consuming milk. While some avoid it because of their personal preferences others can’t have it because of being lactose intolerant. Milk contains calcium, protein, and vitamin B which are essential for our body. Therefore, people seach for milk substitutes. One such substitute is hemp milk.

Hemp Milk is plant-based milk that we get by blending hemp seeds with water. It has a high amount of Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids that are important for building new tissues and membranes in our bodies. It also contains carbs, protein, and fat and one can digest it easily.
Its creamy texture and nutty flavor make it different from cow’s milk. It is free from lactose and gluten, meaning that people who are lactose intolerant and those who avoid dairy can use it for making smoothies and coffee and can add it to their cereal.
You can make hemp milk at home or buy it from the market.
Hemp is a suitable replacement for milk but keep in mind that it tastes different from cow’s milk so it will take some time to get used to it.
There are various products that are made using hemp. You can read about them on hempwiki-an encyclopedia of hemp.
